Frances Rice Cox

Frances Rice Cox, 59, of 1517 Pine Grove Court, Altavista died Monday, September 13, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

She was born October 2, 1950 in Campbell County a daughter of the late Curtis Rice and Dorothy Cox Rice. She was a member of Altavista Church of God of Prophecy, an employee of Riverside Minute Market and manager of Pizza Hut for over thirty years.

She is survived by two daughters, Bridget Pannell of Altavista and Maria Walker (Darryl) of Lynchburg; one sister, Nan Stinnette (Lewis) of Lynchburg; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Hurt Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Mark Hopkins and the Rev. E. C. McCormick.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider the Frances Cox Memorial Fund, c/o Nan Stinnette, 301 Woodlawn Circle, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
