Michael Adams Obituary
Michael Glenn Adams, 63, of 371 Oak Ridge Drive, Altavista died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Carol Neely Adams.
He was born December 27, 1946 in Alexandria, the son of the late William Andrew Adams and the late Margaret Gatland Adams. He was a retired maintenance technician with Verizon, a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jesse Adams of Seattle, WA, Samuel Adams and Mitchell Adams, both of Altavista; one sister, Carol Adams Wheaton and her husband Ron of Fairfax and special son/friend Gray Smith.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Corey.
A memorial reception will be held from 6-9 p.m. at Avoca, Thursday, October 7, 2010. The family will receive friends other times at the residence.
The family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider The American Cancer Society, 2316 Atherholt Rd., Room B-106, Lynchburg, VA 24501.

Mile, every Fall I think of our hunting memories as we prepared to track down the elusive Virginia White Tail.
Most specifically our outings with ol Bill Adam's and Anton on your land in Forest Walk in Fredericksburg. Gosh they were enduring times as we returned to our Carol's at your Mom's home at Lake of the Woods for a Turkey dinner and Her infamous Pecan Pie.
Your sis turned 79 this year and I hit 80.
Tony's still in Alaska hunting the Big Moose.
They were wonderful times and we miss you terribly. Prayers for the repose of your soul.
Ron,Carol and Ron Jr.
Yep,he hit 49 and is now our caregiver.

It is with heavy hearts that Donnie and I extend to you and your Family our deepest sympathy. We will always remember Mike for his "snappy" wit and good humor and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The "round table" at the Lodge will not be the same without him!
