James Edward Adams Sr.
James Edward Adams Sr., 70, of Big Island, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Tams, W. Va., on Feb. 21, 1940, a son of the late Howard Ray Adams and Helen Comer Adams. James was a member of Tabernacle Church of God and a retired machinist at Lynchburg Foundry. He was a retired Army veteran, proud to serve his country, and he loved his family and especially his grand
children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joyce Dale Goff Adams, two sons, James Edward Adams Jr. and his wife, Joy and Timothy Paul Adams and his wife, Isabelita; a brother, Paul Adams; four grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Samuel F. Jones officiating.
