Jonathan David Booker

Jonathan David Booker, 36, of 227 County Road, Etowah, Tenn., died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. He was the husband of Vickie Morrow Booker.

He was born Oct. 22, 1974, in Lynchburg, a son of Cacky Shelton Booker, of Deltaville, and the late David Sebastian Booker. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Gloucester and an employee of Cormetech Manufacturing.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepmother, Barbara Tucker Booker, of Altavista; one daughter, Jasper Danielle Booker, of Etowah, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Taylor Morrow and Chelsea Morrow, both of Etowah, Tenn.; one brother, Joseph (Jody) Shelton Booker, and wife, Jennifer, of Wake; one stepsister, Denise Dalton, of Hurt; two nieces, Jesse Booker and Jordan Booker, of Wake; and his maternal grandmother, Elosie Shelton, of Altavista.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jenks Shelton, and paternal grandparents, Tick Booker and Frances Booker.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista, by the Rev. Jim Manuel and Rev. Tim Layne, with interment to follow at Altavista Memorial Park, with military honors by the Virginia Army National Guard.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, Oct. 31, 2010, at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista, and at other times at the residence of Ronnie and Regina Shelton, 641 Level Run Road, Hurt.
