Larry Bennett

Mr. Larry Bennett, 63, of 921 Floyd St., Lynchburg, entered into eternal rest on Friday morning, Oct. 15, 2010, at his residence. Born May 21, 1947, to the late Mr. Olden Jasper Brown and Mrs. Pearl Bennett Brown. He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Mr. Kenneth Morris (Bernice), of Richmond, and Mr. Latif Dearld Bennett (Nutayla), of Pennsylvania; an adopted daughter, Dee Dee Richardson, of Maryland; two devoted sisters, Mrs. Esther Chilton (Cleon) and Mrs. Augustine Chilton (Herman), both of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Ebony Brown, Siraay Bennett and Kiona Morris; three adpoted grandchildren, Timothy, Darryl and Tyrell Jackson; one great-grandchild, Deshawn Fountain Jr.; two uncles, Mr. Albert Lee Bennett, of Lynchburg, and Mr. Arnold Brown (Conella), of Shaker Heights, Ohio; a devoted nephew, Edward Chilton; great-niece, Devonda Chilton; great- nephews and -nieces, Izaya, Dshonta, Emanuel and E'Lasia; a devoted friend, Minister Lonia Jackson; a devoted friend, Mr. Kenneth Bryant, of Lynchburg; two special friends, Mr. Carrol Austin and Mr. Darnell Chilton; and a host of devoted cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at

1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Bolling Hill Baptist Church, with the

Rev. Edward D. Jones Sr., pastor as eulogist, officiating. The interment will be in Bolling Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Larry's remains will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The cortege will assemble at the church. The family will receive friends at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Augustine Chilton, 1449 Coolwell Road, Madison Heights.
