I remember Mr. Franklin well from 50 years ago when I was a 9 year old child, and he was building an addition to our home. Naturally, I wanted to be in the thick of things, and he treated me with such patience and kindness. My childhood memories of his radiant smile and gentle spirit are still so vivid in my mind. My parents always said he was the most highly skilled carpenter they had ever seen. Although I never saw him again, I've never forgotten him over these many years, and I never will. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family. Mr. Franklin was a treasure.

I was very sad to know that Mr Franklin had passed. My heart goes out to you and the family at this time. I and my family will keep you in our prayers. They always say that time heals all, but for me it has always been in knowing that God is a healing God. And he is there when you feel alone or sad.
