LeeRoy Litten

LeeRoy Herman Litten, 82, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Cordelia Tuggle "Dee" Davis Litten.

Born in Keyser, W.Va., on Oct. 5, 1928, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Nannie Swain Litten, and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charles Judy.

He was retired form Coleman-Adams Construction, a member of Timberlake United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a life member of VFW 3518 Keyser, W.Va.

He is survived by his children, LeeRoy Litten II, of Greensboro, N.C., Margo Judy, of Danville, Michael (YuFong) Litten, of Brandon, Fla., and Arlene (George) Burkhardt, of Hurt; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his companion, Ricky.

He is also survived by three brothers, Luther Litten, of Keyser, W.Va., Samuel Litten, of Annapolis, Md., Franklin Litten, of Keyser, W.Va.; five sisters, Ruby Kimble, of Lexington, Nancy Hester, of Buda, Texas, Virginia Jacox, of Drums, Pa., Mildred Bizer, of Burlington, W.Va., and Gladys Shepherd, of Martinsburg, W.Va.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service by the Rev. Mark Hopkins, with burial to follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Dec. 5, 2010, at Heritage Funeral Service, 427 Graves Mill Road, and at other times at the residence.
