Dear Jean, Billy and Lewis,

Your mother was my favorite teacher EVER! She was always willing to make learning possible for as many students as she could. From being my 4th grade teacher to being my Latin teacher in middle and high school, to being a church member and a very talented musician, well, I just have SO many good memories of her. She was a credit to the teaching profession and a fine woman--with a quiet but wicked sense of humor, as I recall! My sympathies for your loss, for it is indeed a large one. God bless.

Such a sweet, kind, loving little lady she was. Not only did she and her husband both have me in their classes at NCHS, but I was blessed to have them as my neighbors during my childhood/teen years. My sincere condolences to you all.....another of our beautiful, senior saints went home : ) ---Sharon Ashley, Monroe, VA
