Dear Cynthia and Lee, I am terribly sad for you. I loved your mother so. She and Joan were my second mothers. I went to Randolph College and they kept me heading straight as my parents lived over seas. I came to visit them every couple of years. Last year I had to turn around and head home before our visit as my mother-in-law passed away after her own battle with cancer. Pat loved your dearly. You had a good Mommy. And I count myself lucky to have had her as a second mother. My heart and prayers are with you all. I take peace in knowing there will be a friendly face and a beautiful heart and smile awating us on the other side to welcome us home. My best to you all at this difficult time - Julia Markham Childs, Reno, NV, 775.338.6555
