Robert Crowder Obituary

Robert Odell Crowder Jr.

Robert Odell Crowder Jr. departed this life Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, in New Jersey. He was born Aug. 1, 1944, to the late Robert O. Crowder Sr. and Elizabeth Crowder.

In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, LewisTom Crowder, and a niece, Tameka Rose.

He is survived by four devoted sisters, Julia Todd, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Deloris Goins, of Lynchburg, Edith Rose (Roger), of Lynchburg, and Lola Husain (Zafar), of Tobyhanna, Pa.; a loving and devoted fianc‚e, Gloria Sutherland, of Irvington, N.J.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at First Baptist South Lynchburg with Pastor Carl B. Hutcherson officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by American Legion Post 16 after the interment. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The cortege will assemble at the church.
