Thomas Hilton Obituary
Mr. Thomas Albert Hilton, 82, formerly of Gladstone, departed this earthly life Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at Guggenheimer Nursing Home. Mr. Hilton was the son of the late Gracie and Daniel Hilton. He was a retired employee of BWX and a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Gladstone, where he served faithfully until his health conditions prevailed. "Tom," known to many as a quiet spoken and kind man, love good food, friends and church.
He leaves with precious memories a devoted cousin, Thurman Ellis, of Madison Heights; a devoted friend, Theodore Ferguson, of Lynchburg; and an extended family, Lula Toliver and Priscilla Liggon and their families.
A service of praise for Tom's life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Galilee Baptist Church, with the Rev. Meredith Tinsley as eulogist. Friends may call at the Liggon or Toliver home, (434) 946 7147 or (434) 528 8561.
The remains may be viewed in the church from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 2:45 p.m. for the service.
