Wesley Edison Bell, Jr., 46, of 4393 Marysville Road, Altavista died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

He was born January 8, 1964 in Campbell County, the son of the late Wesley Edison Bell and Ruby Thacker Bell. He was a retired carpenter with Sydney B. Allen Construction.

He is survived by three brothers, William Bell and his wife Dinia of Hurt, Jerry Bell of Altavista and Terry Bell and his wife Mary of Long Island; and five sisters, Patsy Mitchell and Ginger Tweedy and her husband Jimmy, both of Altavista, Thressa Faye Bailey of Bedford, Cathy Fincham and her husband Junior of Gladys and Sandy Kelley and her husband Otey of Renan.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Tim Bell and one nephew, Kevin Neal.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Terry Wiler with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista and other times at the residence.

The family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider the Campbell County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 4123, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
