"Billy"

William Aubrey Tucker, 75, of 2403 Marysville Road, Altavista, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

He was born January 15, 1935, in Lynchburg, the son of the late Willie Henry Tucker and Georgia Witt Cox. Billy was a retired employee with the City of Lynchburg and enjoyed gardening and farming after his retirement.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Wayne Tucker and his wife, Michelle, of Forest, and William Robert Tucker, of Evington; two daughters, Brenda Tucker, of Altavista, and Agnes Marie Tucker and special friend, Kevin Kershner; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Joe Tucker and his wife, Mary, and Ricky Wayne Tucker and his wife, Donna, both of Evington; three sisters, Emily Longwood and her husband, Gather, of Lynch Station, Barbara Jean Overfelt and her husband, Paul, and Joyce Martin and her husband, Don, both of Roanoke' one sister-in-law, Betty Ann Tucker, of Evington; and two special friends, Rose Marie Cox, of Altavista, and Louise Tucker, of Evington.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard N. and Raymond Tucker.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at the Tucker Family Cemetery by the Pastor Dwight Weaver.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, Nov. 7, 2010, at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista, and at other times at the residence.
