Charles Patrick Colby Charles Patrick Colby, age 97, a 32 year resident of Manassas, Virginia died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas.

Mr. Colby was born July 31, 1913 in Little Falls, New York, son of the late Charles J. and Mary Ann (Connors) Colby. He was a lifetime member of The Knights of Columbus and the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary S. Colby; daughter-in-law, Peg Colby; and two siblings, Mary Ledger and James Colby.

Survivors include son, Charles Colby, Jr. and daughter, Sheila Mack and husband, Thomas; one sister, Sister Elisabeth Colby, CSJ; five grand-children, Michelle Colby, Deborah Colby, Stephanie Colby Lee, James Mack and John Mack; seven great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Uriah, Riley, Ayla, Noah, Delaney and Azriel.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas with Rev. Robert C. Cilinski officiating. Graveside services will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Little Falls, New York.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, Virginia in loving memory of Charles P. Colby. Condolences may be sent to www.piercefh.com.
