The last time I saw Mrs.Poindexter was unfortunately at her husband Coach P's funeral. She said to me "My goodness you haven't changed a bit". She was a wonderful, kind person with a big heart. I had so much fun as her PE aide my senior year at Stonewall Jackson High School. I know she will be missed.

Mrs P/Coach P left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. She was an amazing coach & teacher that I was blessed to have. If any member of her volleyball team got into trouble (& there were a few) she returned the favor with one of the most difficult practices known to man. I've always said we ran more than the track team and the wall sits, leaps, suicides & bleacher trips were too many to count. She most enjoyed standing on a table & spiking the ball right at us (with a slight grin). Each one of us loved & respected her. Each time I saw Mr P at my sons league basketball games I was greeted with a smile, a laugh or two & we shared updates on the families. When Mrs & Mr. P were expecting Bradley's birth they teared up regularly as their joy & anticipation couldn't be contained. And those tears flowed regularly after Brad arrived as they spoke about their dream being fulfilled. Brad, your parents were two of the most genuine/decent folks to give of themselves to the people of Manassas. We are blessed to have known them.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You know what an amazing woman your mom was. She was my PE teacher @SJHS, she was my oldest son's principal @ Marsteller and she was a client of mine at the bank. In all the years that I have had the pleasure of knowing your mom she always was smiling and had kind words to say. It has been a pleasure to know her and I will forever have a special place in my heart for her.

Bradley,

As you know, your Mom was loved and respected by so many, both as a person and professionally. I had the privledge of knowing Karen first as a neighbor, then in friendship, and then professionally. She was a true lady who touched so many lives, including our son Greg's, whom she taught at SJSHS. She will be sorely missed but never, ever forgotten. May God grant you peace and comfort as you proceed through this very difficult time. We will continue to keep you and all your family in our thoughts and prayers.
