Clifford Bennet Obituary
BENNET - Clifford E., 83, of the Village of Waterman Lake, 715 Putnam Pike, passed away peacefully on Friday, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Beverley R. (Radecke) Bennet. Born in Freeport, NY, he was the son of the late Clifford G. and Marguerite E. (Everett) Bennet. He lived in Huntington, NY for over fifty years until he moved to Smithfield, RI in 2005. Mr. Bennet was a Salesman for Charmer Industries for over 20 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by his sons, Douglas C. Bennet of North Providence and Christopher C. Bennet of Huntington, NY, a brother, Donald Bennet and five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew, Jennifer, Steven and Michael Bennet. He was the father of the late Peter D. Bennet. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3-6pm in The Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St, Providence. Burial with military honors will be on Monday in the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 in his memory would be appreciated. boyleandsonfuneralhome.com
