I'm sure I met you at Christina's wake. Chris was an absolute dear friend of mine. Met her at Grumman back in the 80's. Maybe someone will see this and get back to me! Would love to know how Kailey is doing. She was so young to have lost her mom. Marilyn reached out to me afterwards about Kailey but I never heard anything more. hope someone will reply!
I am Edward Bauer and I live in Ohio now, moving from New York in 1997.

Dad, You've been so many things to so many people. You have been there to help, support and guide.
When you thought I wasn't watching I saw you give money to a homeless man, bring pastries to the convent, help out your friends when they couldn't help themselves, sponsor a foreigner to have the opportunity for the American Dream.
Dad, I watched you when you had to bury two of your children, I watched you go to the aid of you Niece thousands of miles away, I watched you help less fortunate men have a chance at a good job and better the lives of their family.
Even when you had your own issues (nobody is perfect) I saw you survive by giving, sharing, and guiding others.
Dad, you have always been bigger than life to me. As a child, I remember always being under foot when you were home. Working three jobs kept you from being home much but I knew you worked so hard for us.
Dad, I could never express my love and gratitude for you in my life. I only pray that I will be the person you have been in my life. You have always been my hero, my main man in my life.
Your last few weeks were a blessing. To have the time with you was a gift to me. You and I said all we had to say to each other. Even as you prepared and finally left this earth, you did so with honor, humor and great great love. We talked about your family is Ireland, played Irish music and remenisced over photo albums. You so loved that! I couldn't count how many times you stopped Mom as she was passing, for a kiss! Witnessing the expression of your love of over 56 years is so transparent and an inspiration. You worried about everyone; your wife, your kids, grandkids, great grandkids and your sister. Everyone! You were also focused on taking care of all the arrangements so no one would have to worry about it.
When people ask about you, I will brag - yes brag. This man I call Dad, has been the most gracious, generous, kindest, respectful, helpful, dependable and most wonderful person anyone would be blessed to have known. Yes, I will brag!
So yes, I learned from you, while I watched when you thought I wasn't looking. I will forever love you and look forward to the day I see you again.
And now I say goodbye to my best friend, knowing that the angels have carried him home to be with his children Michael and Christina; his mother and father; his brother Jim and sister Christina and all those who have gone before him. I know he is happy and filled with God's love.
It is I that is broken hearted.
