Emilie Squier Obituary

SQUIER - Emilie Ann, on December 12, 2011 of Syosset, NY. Ann was born on April 17, 1925 in Watertown, NY. Beloved daughter of the late William H. Squier and Henrietta (Charlesboise) Squier, brought up in Oneonta and Plattsburgh, NY. Dear sister of the late Marie (Squier)Weidman, Robert P. Squier and Elizabeth (Squier) Bacas and the late (niece) Roberta Short. She is survived by (sister-in-law) Betty Lou Squier and very special friend of over 40 yrs, Margaret Gillespie, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews plus great grand nieces & nephews. Ms. Squier graduated from Plattsburgh State University Teachers College in 1947, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, was a member of the U. S. Cadet Nurse Corp. and completed graduate studies at Albany & Plattsburgh State University. Ann was a school nurse-teacher for 38 yrs. at Lake George, Bethpage and East Meadow Schools. In lieu of flowers donation to St. Edward's Church or Adelphi NYS Breast Cance Hot Line & Support Group. Memorial visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m at Beney Funeral Home, Inc., of Syosset, 79 Berry Hill Rd. Funeral Mass Monday 9:45 am at St. Edward Confessor RC Church, 205 Jackson Ave., Syosset.
