ZAINO - Francis A. "Chubby" of Melville, N.Y. formerly of Westbury on August 15, 2013. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee O'Connor). Loving father of Maureen, Mark (Fran), the late Timothy, Thomas and David. Devoted grandfather of Jamie, Kyle and Kerry. Cherished brother of Frances Z. Smith, Jacqueline Pardo, the late Joseph, Vincent, Rocco, Elizabeth Verderber and Mary A. Schneider. Chubby was known to and loved by hundreds, if not thousands of customers and staff of the Wheatley Hills Tavern of Westbury. Started in 1934 by his father Frank Zaino, the Tavern was a Long Island landmark. Chubby worked there with his brothers Joe & Vincent (Jimmy) and established its tradition of a family-run, family-centered establishment. For over 30 years Chubby welcomed thousands of guests and touched thousands of lives. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Brigid's Church, active member in the Westbury Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Senior Citizens and Holy Trinity Titan Club.
