CARR - Jean Frances, of Syosset, NY, left us suddenly and tragically at age 78 on February 28, 2013. Beloved wife, devoted mother and treasured grandmother. Affectionately known as Ah-hum, Hum-ah and Han-um, Jean was born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Mildred and Leo McQuillen with three siblings, Mildred Huza and the late Pat Gaddis and Leo McQuillen, Jr. Jean joins her late and adored son, Daniel Leo Carr, in heaven. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Edward J. Carr; her dear children, Nancy Worden, Lynn Conetta, Jeanne Hunter, Edward J. Carr, Jr., and Michael Carr; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug Worden, Peter Conetta, Alex Hunter, Dianne Carr, and Carrie Anne Carr; and her 10 cherished grandchildren, Kevin, Kait and Chris Conetta; Erik and Madeline Worden; Alex, Michaela and Patrick Hunter; Edward J. Carr III; and Michael Carr, Jr. Jean was a loving aunt to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnphews, and a valued and trusted friend to all. Interior decorator by trade and passion, Jean had an eye for taste and design. Client, friend or family - everyone looked for Jean's blessing. A devout Catholic, Jean was an active parishioner of St. Edward's the Confessor in Syosset and St. Therese of Lisieux Parish of Montauk. She brought love and spirituality to every aspect of her life. Jean was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and grandchildren, when the Yankees had a record above .500 and when she was in Montauk where she spent 43 summers. An inspiration to all, she will be remembered as one-of-a-kind, with infectious grace that touched everyone. Reposing at the Beney Funeral Home of Syosset. 79 Berry Hill Road.
