I worked at'THE PLACE' years ago. No one was more committed than Joan. A great lady that will be missed by many.

I worked at The Place for 28 years and Joan was my director. Joan and the staff were more like family than coworkers and that had a lot to do with Joan's commitment and approach to what we did. Unfortunately after the agency was taken over, we were not all able to maintain the close contact. For me, living 30 miles away, I didn't have the opportunity to run into Joan at the stores in Northport. I always thought that we would get together again but as life has a habit of being very hectic, that time never came. I am very sorry to hear of Joan's passing but know how much she cared for and did for the Northport community, that she will be remembered foundly. I know I will. My most sincere sympathy to the family.
