John J. Dawson III

DAWSON - John J., III, 62 of Boynton Beach, FL passed away December 25, 2015 after a tragic accident. He was born on October 8, 1953 in Long Island, NY, to John Dawson II and Jacqueline Dawson (Bleecker). During his 62 years, John lived his life to the fullest. He was an avid fisherman, boxer, father, son, brother, husband and grandfather. John worked on the water clamming during the day and returned to school at night and became an addiction counselor helping people struggling with addictions. John retired to FL two years ago and rekindled old relationships with family and friends. Some of his favorite times were making breakfast with his granddaughter Halley, fishing with his sons, and chatting with friends about boxing.He will be sadly missed and always remembered. He is pre-deceased by his father, John Dawson II and his son Nicholas Dawson. He leaves behind his mother Jacqueline Dawson, and a sister Susan Dawson both of Boynton Beach, FL, four sons, John IV of Boynton Beach, FL, Joshua Dawson of Jackson, MI, Jeremy Dawson and Matthew Dawson of Long Island, NY, a granddaughter Hailey Dawson and close friends Krystina LaCasse and Sue Dawson-LaCasse also of Boynton Beach, FL. A private ceremony will be held at a later time.
