SAPONARO - Paul, age 42, of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., PA, formerly of Long Island, NY, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at the Phoenixville Hospital. He was the husband of Maureen D. (Pye) Saponaro. Born in Far Rockaway, NY, he was a son of Annunziata "Nancy" (Petraroli) Saponaro, of Lower Pottsgrove Twp., PA, and the late Albert Saponaro. Paul was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Cedarhurst, NY. He was a paramedic/firefighter in Inwood, NY. He worked for the LILCO in NY and was most recently employed as a computer engineer for Abtech Support, Inc., Carlsbad, CA for the past 6 years. A technology advocate, he was very interested in computer technology, science fiction and movies. Paul was a "Trekkie". Surviving in addition to his wife mother are his daughter, Alessandra Saponaro at home, his son, Adam Campbell of Phoenixville, PA, his brothers, Anthony, husband of Cathy Saponaro of Long Island, NY; Frank, husband of Donna Saponaroof East Norriton, PA; also surviving are nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and from 9-10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta - Linfield, 1228 Main Street, Linfield, PA 19468. Fr. Paul Brandt will officiate. Interment will be St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alessandra Saponaro Educational Fund c/o TD Bank, 991 South Township Line Road, Royersford, PA 19468.
