Dear Kelly Steve and Patrick,
Hi, my name is Dianne my husband Ray and son Patrick from Huntington. I don't know you and your family but I know your pain well as I am a mother who lost her son Marc in Feb. of 2008. I've always wanted to reach out to another mother but never had the strength, but your story hit me because I know a few people from your community as I work in Kings Park as well.
You sound like a very close loving caring family and that is whats going to get you through. Lean on your husband, let him lean on you. Hold each other up, let your son Patrick be your saving grace, the bright spot in your day that gets you through as my son Patrick has done that for me and my husband.
Love each other, talk to each other about Sean often. Hang his pictures all over the house. Let friends help if they are offering, who ever wants to listen-talk away about Sean. It's somewhat healing it does take time. I'm not going to say it's easy as we still struggle with the loss of our son Marc, it's just comforting when people still care how we are doing.
I know it's very early in your grieving process and you are still numb, just hang in there and use the memory of Sean your guardian angel and the sweet beautiful innocence of you young son Patrick hold you and you husband up.
I truly hope I have'nt spoken to much and wish the best for your family as you heal from this unexpected tragedy.

Words cannot express how we are hurting for your family-our hearts are truly heavy all of the time. Sean was in our daughter's class in Kindergarten and in 2nd, as well. She speaks fondly of him and I have a couple of memories of my own from class parties--I loved his smile. The courage you had to come to the Fall Fair today was truly amazing and a testament of your determination to help Patrick heal. You are on our minds and in our prayers constantly.

Dear Kelly and Steve,
I was blessed and had the pleasure of working with your son. From the moment I met him I knew something was special about him. His gentle way, soft voice and beautiful smile won my heart over instantly. For such a young boy he was so deep and soulful. My heart aches for you Steve and Patrick every day. I pray for your healing. As a mother, I can feel that broken heart pain when you feel like you can't breathe. You are the first person I think about in the morning and the last person I think about at night. I pray that you find peace and solice. I pray that your pain becomes a little less each day. He loved you very much and he knew how hard you fought for him. He looked up to his dad and looked out for his little brother Patrick. When I think of Sean I think of a beautiful,sweet and kind cild. He accoplished what he needed to in this like and I just feel lucky to have crossed his path. I was one of the lucky ones to have known him. My heart is broken. I am so sorry, so so sorry. Although I did not know your son/family,I grieve for you.
A loss of a child is hardest thing ever. Give some time to grieve, give yourself care and love, let god take you in his arms and carry you for awhile. I will pray for peace for your family. Your boy will always be in your hearts and minds. My daughter goes to Parkview and is really good friends with gregory his classmate/ my neighbor. One of the things he said "he was my friend". He was a friend and very much loved.
I was also touched by you generously naming SEPTA as the benificary of gifts given by mourners. I am a parent with a boy who has special needs and I thank you.

From a distant friend, I actually met Sean's aunt Katie for the first time this past Friday. Katie was on the phone most of the day with the hospital, and family. I was simply working and just an observer of what was occuring. I consider myself very spiritual and my heart is broken for this child and his beautiful family. I was praying for him and all of you that night and I will continue to pray for all of you for a long long time. As a Mother, I truly can not imagine the pain of such a loss. I wanted to express my deepest sympathy and leave you with some kind and hopeful thoughts. Love is eternal which can never die. No one can take that away from you.
