Vincent J. Beltrani

BELTRANI - Vincent J. "Sonny", age 90, on February 11, 2016 of Bethpage, NY, formerly of Hicksville. Beloved husband of Elvira J. Beltrani. Devoted father of Frank (Frances) Beltrani, Joseph (Mariellen) Beltrani and Phyllis (Richard) Johnson. Proud and cherished grandfather of Vincent, Christina, Diana, Katherine, Laura, Gina, Nicole, Christopher and great grandfather of John, Dominic and Riley. Loving brother of Emilia, Joseph, Carmela and Frank. Vincent's willingness to go the extra mile was evident as a young man, when he enlisted in the United States Navy in July of 1943. He served his Country with honor, pride and heroism until his discharge in December of 1945. Vincent earned four battle stars in the Philippines and three battle stars from the Pacific Campaign. He fought in the Philippines, Iwo Jima and Okinawa and distinguished himself many times over in the face of one of this nation's most intense wartime campaigns. Reposing at Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, Bethpage, NY. Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial, Tuesday, 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy, Hicksville, NY. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY. Visiting Sunday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30PM and Monday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30PM.
