Rev. Roy C. Colliver, 87, of Georgetown, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at the Southwest Regional Medical Center in Georgetown. He was retired from Steelcraft Manufacturing Company, a farmer, a minister at the former Farmer's Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union near Georgetown, and a United States WWII Army veteran. Roy was born Aug. 24, 1926 in Mt. Sterling, Ky. the son of the late William Thomas and Lillie (Vinson) Colliver. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter – Dianna Frazier, one son-in-law – Charles Frank, one great grandson – Colt Little and seven brothers and sisters.
Rev. Colliver is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen (McKinley) Colliver; six children – Danny Colliver and wife Phyllis of Hamersville, Peggy Roehm of Georgetown, Marlene Little and husband John of Georgetown, Randy Colliver and wife Sue of Clarksville, Marla Allen and husband Mike of Pall Mall, Tenn. and Mark Colliver and wife Keely of Georgetown; 16 grandchildren – Chris and Brent Frazier, Nick Colliver and wife Julie, Kelly Colliver and wife Christie, Billy Colliver, Kanita Tackett and husband Chris, Travis Little and wife Kristen, Raylene Richey and husband Bill, Clay Little and wife Autumn, Stephanie Mullins and husband Jeff, Rachel Colliver, Josh Allen and wife Amanda, Kristie Tevepaugh and husband Theron, Ben Allen and Sierra and Spencer Colliver; 26 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; one son-in-law – Dave Frazier of Georgetown, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown. Rev. Mike Allen and Rev. Rodney Brewer will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, with military services by the Carey-Bavis American Legion Post 180 of Georgetown.
