Janice L. Shelton, 75, of Columbus, formerly of Brown County, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2014.
She had worked for the Ohio Department of Health.
Mrs. Shelton was born Dec. 10, 1938, in Bardwell, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth McNeer Elliott. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby "Speck" Latham and Charles Shelton; one son, John Latham; one sister, Ethel Sokiol; and one brother, Ron Elliott.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Nina Latham; one brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Marcella Walker; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Latham; five grandchildren and spouses, Amy and Josh Fick, Jeremy and Hope Latham, Adam and Jessica Rhoades, Sara and Brian Day, and Justin Latham; five great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many extended family members.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Newcomer Funeral Home, in Columbus. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home, located 19306 state Route 136, in Winchester. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery in Russellville.
