Hughes, Thomas Eldon  
Thomas Eldon Hughes, age 91, of Auburn, Ky., passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at his home. He was born in Logan County, Ky. on June 9, 1923, to the late Thomas Henry and Frances Sadler Hughes. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Camilla Elizabeth Hughes and three sisters, Clara Delle Rogers, Josephine Brown and Louise Coleman. He is a member and deacon of the New Friendship Baptist Church and a farmer. He is survived by his three sons, Ray Hughes (Delain), Charlie Hughes (Teresa) and Danny Hughes (Staci); his three daughters, Sarah Gipson (Dean), Joyce Taylor (Tim) and Rebecca Collins (Paul), all of Auburn, Ky.; his one sister, Dorothy Herndon of Franklin; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Thomas Eldon Hughes will be conducted Saturday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at the New Friendship Baptist Church with Brother Barry Raley and Brother Mark Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, April 17 at New Friendship Baptist Church from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 18 from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. at the church. Pallbearers are Guy Hughes, Carroll Browning, Richard Carpenter, Jeff Robinson, Lee Blythe, Richard VanZee, Shawn Gipson and Jonathan Hughes. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Moore, Jack Hughes, Tommy Hayes, Jim Milam and Alvin Hughes. The family ask that donations be made to the New Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund.
