Carl Edwin Kenworthy, 83, of Belton, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Alive Hospice in Madison, Tenn.
He was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Lynn, Ind., a son of the late Paul Kenworthy and the late Alta Ward Kenworthy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kenworthy was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Edward Kenworthy and his granddaughter, Seana Kay Thompson.
Mr. Kenworthy was a lineman for Bell Telephone Company until his retirement in 1991. He took up his second career of semi driving for Lynn Elevator (IN) in 1994 and retired at age 82 in 2012. He was a United States Army veteran in the Korean War and a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. at Price Funeral Home with the family members and friends officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery in Belton. Visitation will begin at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 18 from 5-8 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Kenworthy; his son, Kevin Francis Kenworthy of Tallahassee, Fla.; his daughters, Cheryl Crafton (Dr. Terry A) of Lewisburg, Mary Elizabeth Shimp (Rick) of Greenwood, Ind. and Catherine Elizabeth Kenworthy of Belton; his sister, Barbara Jean Moore of Greenville, Ohio; his special nephew, Harold Borneman of Finchville; 12 grand children; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, and three step-greatgrandchildren.
