Edwina M. Duncan, age 89, of Russellville, passed away, Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Logan Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Shreveport, La., on Nov. 10, 1924, to the late Cecil A. McGowen and May Grace McGowen.
She worked for First Federal Savings and Loan for many years, was a volunteer at Logan Memorial Hospital, a past Worthy Matron of the McLemore Eastern Star of Memphis, Tenn. and was a member of the United Methodist Temple. She was the widow of the late Charles E. Duncan Sr.
She is survived by one son, Cecil D. Duncan of Paducah; a daughter-in-law, Patty O'Brien Duncan of Denham, Mass.; three grandchildren, Sarah, Charlie and Christopher, and one great-grandchild, Gavin.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Edward Duncan Jr.
Funeral services for Edwina M. Duncan will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Wayne Sayer officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be held Saturday, Jan. 11 from 4-7 p.m. and again on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 8 a.m. until the service hour at 2 p.m.
