Curtis J. Looper

Curtis J. Looper, age 67, of Russellville, Ky., passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at his residence.

He was born in Cumberland County, Tenn. on Nov. 4, 1947, to the late Dolphus Odell and Kathleen Qualls Looper.

He is a Baptist, farmer, served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, member of the American Legion, and former member of the Farm Service Agency.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Looper; his son, Bradford Looper of Russellville, Ky., and his brother, Lynn Odell Looper of Crossville, Tenn.

Funeral services for Curtis Looper will be conducted Thursday, July 10 at 2 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel with Brother Gary Oberhausen and Brother David Youngblood officiating. Burial followed in the Smith Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 9 from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday, July 10 from 8 a.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers are Mark Coles, Jeremy Webb, Jody Robinson, Dale Givens, Marcus Huffman and Fred Dunn. Honorary pallbearers are Eugene Ashby, Gary Woodall, Arthur Thomason, Lonnie Brown, James Costellow, Randall Barrow, David Ashby, Thomas Duffy, James Hinton, Odell Hinton, Lindell Jenkins and Tink Webb.

The Family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or to the Cancer Center of your choice.
