Frankie Brown, age 79, of (Bucksville) Auburn, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at his residence.

He was born in Logan County on Jan. 8, 1935, to the late Isom Mitchell and Lizzie Hayes Brown.

He was a member of the Gasper River Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a United States Army veteran and retired equipment operator with the Kentucky State Hwy. Department.

Her is survived by his wife, Dorothy Haley Brown; his three sons, Ricky Brown and Chris Brown and Gwen, both of Auburn and Lonnie Brown of Russellville; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Frankie Brown will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. in the Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel with Brother Byron Dumas officiating. Burial will follow in the Bucksville Cemetery. Visitation began Monday, Feb. 3 after 6: p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 8 a.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers were Phil Fuller, David Coles, Keith Brown, Corey Brown, Duston Brown and Dylon Brown.
