Era Nell Hurt, age 74, of Russellville, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at the Colonial Center in Bowling Green.
She was a Logan County native born Sept. 27, 1939, to the late James Preston Welborn and Eula Eddings Welborn.
She was a clerk at Bert's Auto Parts for 32 years and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Danny Hurt and fiancee, Brenda of Clarksville, Tenn.; three daughters, Brenda Hurt of Bowling Green, Sandy Johnson (Danny) of Lewisburg and Rita Johnson of Russellville; one sister, Faye Knight (Bert) of Russellville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Era Nell Hurt will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Joe Forshee officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday, Jan. 12 from 4:30-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13 until the funeral hour of 1 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Shriners Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Victor King, Steve Ramsey, Gerald Hildabrand, Preston Hurt, Vance Wilhite, Greg Scholl and Bart Angel.
