Rev. George Edward Kendrick, 63, of Auburn, entered into God's Kingdom on April 1, 2014. Rev. Kendrick, a native of Hopkinsville, graduated from Hopkinsville High School in 1969. He was a cum laude graduate of Western Kentucky University where he majored in business administration and was a charter member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at Western. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Services will be held Saturday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 290 Hill Street, Auburn. Visitation will be held Friday, April 4 from 5-8 p.m. at the church and at Gamble Funeral Home, Hopkinsville from noon to 2 p.m.
Rev. George Kendrick is survived by his wife, Emma Forte Kendrick Auburn; a daughter, Tynesha Kendrick Leitchfield, and a son, George Samuel Kendrick, Bowling Green; one sister, Linda Talley (Calvin) Flint, Mich.; two brothers, Willie Kendrick (Florene), Hopkinsville and Bruce Pierce (Kim), Louisville ; two grandchildren, Kennedy Kendrick and Lindon Kendrick. He is also survived by an uncle, John Gold (Julia) and an aunt, Nancy Gold and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
