Floyd Ashby Heatherly, 88, of North Walnut Street, Adairville, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at N.H.C. Health Care in Springfield, Tenn.
He was a Logan County native born November 7, 1925 to the late Claude Heatherly and Gladys Mae Robertson Sharp. He was a manager with Buy Right Food Stores, was a World War II Navy Veteran, and a member of Living Word Church in Adairville.
He is survived by his son, Tony Heatherly (Ann) of Kansas City, Kan.; daughter, Donna Long (Roy) of Springfield, Missouri; sisters, Dorothy Sharp Warren of Springfield, Tenn. and Rena Scott of Adairville; grandchildren, Holly Heatherly, Gina Nelson, Courtney Marsh, Lauren Lowand and Lisa Contreas; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Austin Heatherly; son, Jackie Heatherly and brother, Ralph Sharp.
Funeral Services for Floyd Ashby Heatherly will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 in Living Word Church in Adairville with fulL military rights, pastor Phil Scott officiating, with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville. Visitation at the church will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service hour at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Nickie Scott, Sheila Scott, Ronald Pitts, Freda Pitts, Courtney Burchett and Harold Page.
Donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the Church.
