Richard G. Harper, 69, of Union Church Road, Russellville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
He was born in Montgomery County, Tenn., on Oct. 28, 1944, to the late Felix Galloway Harper and Mamie Russell Harper.
He was a farmer and member of the Fellowship Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Harper; his two sons, Galloway Harper of Allensville, and Jason Harper (Tracy) of Russellville; his step-son, Duane Triplett of Gainesville, Fla.; his daughter, Ginger Harper Robertson (Glen) of Russellville, and two grandchildren, Harper Butler and Brayden Stone.
Funeral services for Richard G. Harper will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Harris Dockins and Danny Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, Aug. 1 from 4-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 until the funeral hour of 11 a.m.
Pallbearers are Don Halcomb, Eldred Black, Scottie Harper, Sam Foster, Bill Walden and Rice Gill. Honorary pallbearers are Ron Hooper, Horace Foster Jr., Joe Dorris, Dr. Bill Webb and Mike Boyles.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to The Healing Hands International, Project Genesis 1:1 Well Number 3. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
