William Vick "Bill" Flowers

William "Bill" Vick Flowers, 86, of Russellville, passed away Oct. 21, 2013, at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab Center in Russellville.

He was born May 22, 1927, in Logan County, a son of the late Herbert and Bessie Flowers. In addition to his parents. Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by his wife, Anne McGinnis Flower.

Mr. Flowers was a United State Navy veteran in World War II and later drove a truck for Mayflower Transient Co. William was a member of the First Baptist Church in Russellville and member of the Historic Russellville. and survived by:

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Buddy Crabtree officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation began at the funeral home Saturday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers were Matt Flowers, Bill Costello, Tony Costello, Kelly Cooper, Bill Smith and W.L. Moor. Honorary Pallbearers were Tyler Barnes and Carrie Cooper.

He is survived by his son, Mike and Susan Flowers of Russellville; his daughters, Vicki and Charlie Page of Russellville, Karen Flowers of Cairo, Egypt, Marjorie Flowers of Owensboro and Mary and Chris Snyder of Kokomo, Ind.; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
