James Croslin Obituary
After a strong-willed battle with cancer, James Croslin died on Jan. 14, 2015, in Louisville, Ky. at the age of 87. He leaves behind his companion of 29 years, Don Steiner; son, Mark Croslin; daughters, Rise' and husband Tom Ayars and Capri Croslin and partner Melissa Pyeatt, and brother, Ellis Lee of Russellville, Ky. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Jim was born on Oct 16, 1927, to Eldridge and Elizabeth Croslin from Russellville, Ky.
He was a member of the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He later graduated from the University of Kentucky and worked years as Supervising Internal Auditor for JC Penny Company. He retired to private practice CPA firm in Louisville, Ky.
Jim and partner Don were long time residence of Historic Downtown Louisville on 2nd street. He was an active member of Unity Church and proudly donated his remains to the University of Louisville Science Department.
There will be a graveside service 12 p.m. in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
