Funeral services for Mrs. Diane Christine Martin, 65, of Panama City, who died Jan. 25, 2015, will be Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, 11 a.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens to the Martin death notice.

Moore, Alice Huey*  
Alice Huey Moore, age 78, of Lynn Haven, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 26, 2015, surrounded by family and friends at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center. Alice was born Oct. 30, 1936 in Jellico, Tenn., to the late Thomas and Carrie Ella (Appleton) Huey and was the youngest of four children. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Arvin C. Moore, with whom she raised three beautiful children. "Meme" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Alice devoted her life to her family. She will always be known for her generosity, hospitality and grace in everything that she did. Alice had a well-known love of visiting new places and spent much of her life traveling the world with her family and pets. She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Moore, in 2001 and both of her sisters, Evelyn Tenenbaum and Betty Sefchick. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 59 years, Arvin C. Moore of Lynn Haven; her two children, Alan Moore and wife, Maxine, of Lynn Haven, and Suzanne Moore and husband, Robert Desautels, of Panama City; former wife of her late son Tony Moore, Mitzie Helmuth of Lynn Haven; five grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Kristen Haskins, Aric Moore, Seth Haskins and Clayton Moore; one great-grandchild, Alexis Gossens; and one brother, Thomas Huey, Jr. and wife, Faye, of Ozark, Ala. Alice's family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. T.A. Greene and the Rev. Tim Bush officiating. Interment will follow in the Wausau Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends may sign the online register at www.BrownFH.net. Mrs. Janice McDonald, 72, of Panama City, FL, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015. Janice served her family and Lord diligently and was a friend to all. She was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church and the Shalom Sunday School class. She is survived by her mother, Ethel Carlson; father, Carl "Ed" Carlson; husband of 54 years, Freddie McDonald Sr.; brother, Carl David Carlson (Carolyn); two daughters, Carla Brookins (Jess) and Karen Johnston (David); son, Freddie McDonald Jr.; eight grandchildren, Morghan, Lauren, Brandon, Justin, Nelson, Jessica, Davis and Austin; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Middleton, Bettye Jalean*  
Bettye Jalean Middleton, 88 of Panama City, FL passed away January 21, 2015. She was born January 31, 1926 in Birmingham AL. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Willie Mae and Cecil Naramore and her loving husband Lt. Col. Henry (Hank) Middleton. Although she had no children, Bettye is survived by Rhonda Kay Harper of San Antonio, TX and her two children, Tiffany Jalean Porter of Frisco, TX and Michael Lowery Harper of Rocklin, CA who were Bettye's god children. Also surviving is Lois Kay Merkel of Panama City, FL, and her children Robert, Christopher, Ashley and Lacy. Rhonda and Lois were like daughters to Bettye, and loved her dearly. She had many close and dear friends during her retirement years in Panama City. Bettye led a full and adventurous life. After Hank retired from the Air Force while stationed in Japan. Bettye and Hank had a 42' sailboat built and sailed it from Hong Kong to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She has now gone to join Hank to continue the adventures.In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bettye's name may be made to the Humane Society of Bay County.
