Billy V. Booker

Billy V. Booker, 81, of Panama City, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Covenant Hospice at Bay Medical.

Billy was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the Civitan Club in Panama City. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, and retired from the FAA after 27 years of service. He enjoyed yard sales and collecting clocks, and was affectionately known as "Punkin'."

Billy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Traweek Booker; five children, Ken Booker (Soraya), Rhonda Kim (Kevin), Toni Codd (Liege), Sang Le and Tuyet Le; two sisters, Betty Holcomb (Travis) and Frances Field (George); five grandchildren, Shane Booker (Jessica), Kara Bishop (Daniel), Andrea "Andy" Adams, Olivia Le, Jane Le, and four great-grandchildren, Tony-Lee Locklear, Luke Hammock, Carson Booker and Kloe Booker. He is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Cora Booker.

Funeral services will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel, with Rev. Luther Stanford and Rev. Shane Booker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
