Glenda Howell Stafford, 100, formerly of Panama City, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Sunnyvale, California. She was born March 6, 1913 in Holmes County, Florida to Charles Edwin & Lena Sara Duke Howell. She graduated from Leonia High School in Holmes County. She came to Panama City with her husband in 1941 and worked for Bayline Railroad until 1946. After that, she went to work for Sears Roebuck until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Stafford; three brothers, Charles Wesley Howell, Billy Dean Howell, Herbert Howell; and two sisters, Evelyn Howell Hughes and Lucile Watford.
She is survived by her son, Jerrett Stafford; two grandsons, Mark Daniel Stafford, Dr. James Stafford; three sisters, Ruth H. Williams, Virginia H. Napier (Joseph), Ouida H. Davis (Joseph); sister-in-law, Violet Howell; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.Wilson Funeral Home
