Ira Cecil "Bill/Billy" Jordan

Ira "Bill/Billy" Cecil Jordan, 77, passed away Thursday Afternoon March 21, 2013 at Bon Secours Memorial Medical Center in Mechanicville, Va.

He was born on November 28th, 1935 and raised in Varina, Virginia. He was the son of Ira Franklin Jordan and Elsie May Jordan.
He was a member of Lynn Haven United Methodist Church, Lynn Haven Florida.

As a young man, he enlisted in the Air Force as a Radar Technician retiring after 20 years of honorable service; serving in the Vietnam War. He later retired as a Maintenance Supervisor for Miracle Strip Amusement Park, Panama City Beach, Florida. He enjoyed the occasional pilsner beer, and was an accomplished handyman, and was a true romantic gentleman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife Gaynelle M. Jordan, to whom he was extremely devoted. Also, 6 Brothers and Sister: Iris, Eldridge, Gertrude, Violet, and Rayton.

Bill is survived by his 2nd wife; Elizabeth Shearin-Jordan of Varina, Virginia; his last remaining sibling Ruby Kellie, of Colonial Heights, Virginia; Daughter, Sandy Jordan Jewell, wife of Brian Jewell; and his sons, Tim A. Jordan and Randy W. Jordan; Brandy Perdue, his beloved and only grandchild; and 3 great grandchildren, Tayte, Zachery and Autumn Perdue.

A memorial was held at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church on Varina, (Richmond) Virginia on March 23, 2013. An Additional memorial service will be held at the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church in Lynn Haven, Florida on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Luther officiating. Friends and Family are respectfully invited to attend.
