Jerry E. Kelley

Jerry E. Kelley, 70, of Panama City, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at a local hospice.

Jerry was a retired Senior Welder, having worked 31 years with the St. Joe Paper Mill and a member of The Boilermakers Local #199. Jerry loved dove and duck hunting, and was Baptist by faith.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, E.N. and Kathryn Kelley; a brother, Mark Lane Kelley; a sister, Jennifer Alford; and a nephew, Derek Kelley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Margie I. Kelley; two daughters, Carla Smith (Ricky Burkett) and Carrie Brown (Jerrel); two brothers, Jimmy Ray Kelley (Petra) and Gary Steven Kelley; three grandchildren, Katie Smith, Chelsie Brown and Matthew Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Sunday March 10, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel, with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's name to Covenant Hospice.
