Theodore "Ted" Czupryk Sr.

Theodore "Ted" Czupryk Sr., 90, former resident of Callaway, passed away in Oviedo, Fla., on Sunday, June 9, 2013.

He served his country as a United States Army infantryman in World War II and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He also served in the Korean conflict. After retiring as an Army officer, Ted ended his career in Civil Service at Tyndall Air Force Base. As both a soldier and civilian, he was known for his smile, honesty and "tell it like it is" manner. His family also knew him to be a strong advocate for abandoned pets, and he had many "rescue" animals through the years, to include "Lovey" and "Happy" who were by his side during his last few years.

He was also a proud family man and is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Shirley; two children, Shari Brady (Steve) and Theodore Jr. (Sherry); two wonderful grandchildren, Tara and Josh (Bailey); a sister, Kae Talbot; and a brother, John.

Following a long illness, Ted requested a private family service be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any animal rescue organization in memory of Theodore Czupryk Sr., who is now peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
