Henry Bass Obituary

Mr. Henry Lawson (Snooks/Sonnyman) Bass Jr., 60, of Panama City, went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2011. He had lived in the area for the past 59 years, having moved from Bonifay.

He is survived by his daughter: Melba Jean Hall and husband, Johnny; son: William Wesley "Billy" Bass and wife, Joey L. Bass; mother: Melba Bass; sister: Christine B. Chambless and husband, Rhudeen; brothers: Ronnie E. Bass Sr. and wife, Gay, Kenny L. Bass and wife, Judy, and Jerry L. Bass and wife, Debbie; four grandsons: Charles Lee Debolt, Billy Joe Bass, Joshua Ryan Bass, and William Wesley Bass II; one great-grandson: Hunter Lee Debolt; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, and one great-great niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lawson Bass Sr.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Gurganus officiating.

Interment will follow at Lynn Haven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Pete Russ, Ronnie E. Bass, Jr. (Burford), Kevin J. Russ, Christopher A. Bass, Shaun B. Bass, and Kristain L. Shaw. Honorary pallbearer: Jimmy Theus and J.W. "Sonny" Lashley.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Heritage Funeral Home.

I did not know Sonnyman, however, I heard stories from Kim Shaw. Sounds like a lot of love and good living came from Sonnyman. May the Lord bless all of you at this time of loss and find comfort that Sonnyman is at peace. The heavens are rejoicing.
