Debra Carpenter Obituary
Debra was born June 6, 1951, in Marianna, Fla., to the late Ivan and Florence Stephens. She was employed with Wal-Mart as a department manager since 1997.
Debra is survived by one daughter, Stephanie and husband, Donny Sportsman; two sons, Matthew Shepherd and wife Sandra Merino and Zachary Shepherd. She also leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Rhonda Sue Smith; seven grandchildren, Emily, Kapua, Kanai, Alec, Savannah, Nicolas and Sebastian; two nieces, Leighann Lottridge and Kerry Peete; one great-niece, Lainie; and two great-nephews, Madison and Brennan.
A visitation will be on Friday, May 20, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brock's Home Town Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Brock's Home Town Funeral Home. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. in Marianna, Fla., at Sims Cemetery.

I remember her taking the time when I was a little girl to play Barbie's with me and her gently trying to guide me through my teen years. She had a big heart and a lot of wisdom.

I have known Debra since the day she went to work for Wal-Mart.We have gone through many life changing events together.I will miss her greatly and love her always.
