Gary Galant Obituary

Gary Michael "Mike" Galant, 71, of Fountain, Fla., passed away April 3, 2011, at his home.

Mike was born on Jan. 2, 1940, in Huntingdon, Pa. He was a retired UA Pipefitter-Welder for Local Union 295, Daytona Beach. He was also a member of Harbor City Masonic Lodge 318, Melbourne, Fla. Mike, an avid hunter and fisherman, served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Lucas-Cucchiara. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Ann Zellweger-Galant; daughter, Glenda Lynn Maurer and her husband, James; son, Gary Michael Galant Jr. and his wife, Renee; grandson, James Gregory Galant and his wife, Melissa; great-grandchildren, Amber Nicole and Cassie Ann Galant; brother-in-law, Conrad Zellweger III and his wife, Doris; two nephews and several cousins.
