James Haggard Obituary

James W. Haggard, 80, of Callaway, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

James served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years. James and his wife, Dora, and family have been residents of Panama City for 43 years after moving here from San Diego, CA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything that involved guns.

James is survived by his wife, Dora Spouse; daughter, Sandra; son; Paul (Lucy); granddaughter, Katie; grandson, Joey; and other relatives and friends from California and Florida.

A special thank you to Dr. Josten and staff, Emerald Coast Hospice, nurses and doctors in Bay Medical Cardiac ICU, the 5th Floor staff, and especially to the nurses and staff at St. Andrews Bay Nursing and special family members who gave encouragement and loving support in his final hours.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Craig Brannon officiating. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately preceding the service on May 19 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.
