Sharon Schwandt Obituary

Sharon Maxine Schwandt, of Panama City, entered into rest on May 19, 2011.

She was 59 years old. Sherry is survived by her husband, William Michael Schwandt; daughter Christia Nunnery, of Tallahassee; son Michael Schwandt, of Los Angeles; brothers Lenny Smith and Murray Smith, of Clearwater; niece Cheryl Amanda Smith; nephew Jon Max Smith; aunt Vera Williams; and many other relatives and friends. Sherry was born on Valentine's Day, 1952, in DeFuniak Springs, to Velma J. and Max L. Smith, who preceded her in rest.

She was a dedicated professional in each of her many careers, and enjoyed her years working for Revlon cosmetic company. She lived in several exotic locations, including Hawaii. She was most proud of the 4 years she served in the U.S. Navy. Sherry was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus and was a warm and generous friend to all she knew.

She was delightfully creative and was writing her first novel at the time of her passing. She was a loving wife, a cherished mother, and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Her light now joins that of her beloved father in heaven with Christ our Lord and Savior.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2011, 4:00pm at Southerland Family Funeral Home with Chaplain Craig Brannon officiating, visitation to follow until 6:00pm. Condolences may be read or submitted on our website www.southerlandfamily.com.
