Preston Ellis Obituary

Preston Joseph Ellis, 87, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011. He was born October 3, 1923 in Southport, Fla. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired International Freight Forwarder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Laura Ellis; parents, Hayes & Mamie Ellis; stepmother, Lilly B. Ellis; 2 brothers, Robert Leroy Ellis, Buford Ellis and a sister, Christine Strickland. He is survived by 3 sons, Alan (Coni) Ellis, Brian (Tudy) Ellis, Joe (Sandy) Ellis; brother, Kenneth Ellis; 2 sisters, Catherine Gilliam (Johnny) and Elois Vinson; sisters-in-law: Mary Ellis, Dorothy Ellis and 9 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Shaddai Shrine Temple Transportation Fund, P.O. Box 16115, Panama City, FL 32406 in memory of Preston Ellis.
